Alex Dunne is an Irish author of children's novels now living in Toronto. Her first children's novel, The Book of Secrets, was published by The O'Brien Press in September 2022 and went on to win the Eilís Dillon Award for a First Book at the 2023 KPMG Children's Book Ireland Awards. It was also nominated for the 2023 Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing. A follow-up novel, The Harp of Power, was published in October 2023. Alex is also a co-founder of Silver Apples Magazine, an online literary journal dedicated to showcasing the best of Irish and international writing.
