C. S. Lewis (29 November 1898 - 22 November 1963) was a British writer and lay theologian, born in Belfast, Antrim, Northern Ireland. He is best known for The Chronicles of Narnia series, his Christian apologetic works such as Mere Christianity, and his contributions to literary criticism.
