Conor Forrest is a children's fantasy author from Co. Kildare who drops the Tuatha Dé Danann into present-day Dublin.

He spent more than a decade writing for a variety of publications, including six years as a reporter for the Kildare Nationalist, before moving into the public service. His debut novel, Heroes of Light and Shadow (The O'Brien Press, 2026), began in 2012 when he was out of college during the recession.

He credits his grandfather, a gifted storyteller, with passing on the writing bug, and workshopped the book with the Newbridge-based InkTank Writing Group. He is currently working on further books drawn from Irish mythology.
