Helen Falconer was a writer from England who settled in Mayo. She sadly passed away in February 2025.
Helen is best know for her trilogy of books called the Changeling series, about a young teenage girl who develops mysterious powers.
She grew up in London and in Devon, England, writing poetry and prose from a very young age. Her father, Alun Falconer, was a writer and movie director, one of the influences that made her a writer. She was published twice before moving to Ireland after marrying an Irishman, and settling down in Mayo to write her changeling series, partly inspired by her teenage children.
