Her debut novel, Hagstone (4th Estate, 2024), is set on a wild island where the artist Nell makes work rooted in landscape, folklore and the feminine. The Inìons, a commune of women drawn there from all over the world, commission her for a piece celebrating their history - and the islanders all live alongside strange murmurings from deep within the island, a sound the Inìons call a Summoning. Hagstone was shortlisted for the John McGahern Book Prize and longlisted for the 2025 International Dublin Literary Award.
