Tina Callaghan is a horror and dark fantasy author from Co Wexford. She decided at age nine to become a writer. She pursued it through a life that included travel, marriage, divorce, and the loss of both parents, eventually finishing a novel after years of revisions.

Dark Wood Dark Water was shortlisted for Teen/YA Book of the Year in the Irish Book Awards 2018. The sequel, Daughter of the Storm, has been released, and she is currently working on the third book in the series.

Tina’s message to other writers is simple: writing is hard, publishing is harder, but persistence, and finding your own version of success, can carry you through.
